About Organic Response
On January 22nd 2008 I joined the 360 Digital Influence team at Ogilvy PR Worldwide in Washington, DC. I am a Digital Marketing Manager. The main focus of this group is harnessing Word of Mouth into an effective marketing strategy for influencing the behavior of consumers online and off. Hopefully I will be able to maximize the effectiveness of such campaigns with my SEO skill set, as well as help improve the legitimacy of Word of Mouth Marketing as a discipline with my background in Direct Response Marketing. For my previous job I worked at an advertising agency in Atlanta, GA called Bennett Kuhn Varner, Inc. (BKV). My title was Organic Search Specialist. BKV is a direct response agency, and as a result much of my training was focused on the concept of measuring the results of any marketing efforts. I joined the interactive department at BKV and eventually headed down the career path of search engine optimization. I have accumulated loads of knowledge regarding internet marketing, most specifically relating to search engines and the driving of natural traffic to a website.
In May of 2007 I published a white paper entitled, SEO in the Web 2.0 Era: The Evolution of Search Engine Optimization. After creating several blogs for clients, it is finally time for me to start writting my own thoughts and ideas down about the Web, SEO, organic traffic, and marketing in general. With my unique background in direct marketing and SEO, a bachelors degree in psychology and an entrepreneurial spirit, I hope my words are not lost in the massive blogosphere.
